Olive oil with a scientific seal of approval

The pylon of Greek diet, extra virgin olive oil is an unrefined, i.e. not treated with chemicals or altered by temperature, oil and the highest-quality product you can buy. There are very specific standards oil has to meet to receive the label “extra-virgin.” Because of the way it is made, it retains authentic olive taste, and has a lower level of oleic acid than other olive oil varieties. It also contains more of the natural vitamins and minerals found in olives. “Eleokarpos Kleolia Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil” is the flagship product of a family business in the Greek island of Euboea, made under the guidance of the Biology Department of Patras University. “Kleolia olive oil”, comes from mature organic olives, harvested by hand in mid October, resulting in a sweet and aromatic olive oil, with low acidity, high phenolic and full of flavour. It is cold pressed in order to retain all its nutrients (high phenolic, omegas, antioxidants) with rich aromas, smooth taste and light colour.
